Veterinary Scientist, Behavior of Farm Animals, Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences
A vacancy exists in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences for a full time Post-Doctoral Scientist to research the behaviour of farm animals in the Centre for Animal Welfare at the Royal Veterinary College. The position is funded by the BBSRC and is on a fixed term contract commencing 1st September 2008 to 30th September 2010. You will undertake research on farm animals, particularly social behaviour and social cognition in pigs and poultry, to meet the objectives of the BBSRC research project. You should have a First Degree in biology, zoology, or animal or veterinary science and have excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to work unsupervised.
